COB LED track lights for accent and display work
A COB track light puts one dense, integrated LED source behind a reflector or lens, so the beam comes out clean and single-shadowed. We build COB heads as complete lights for shops, galleries, showrooms and hospitality interiors, including adjustable-focus and dimmable variants on selected models.
What COB changes compared with a lamp-based head
With a GU10 or MR16 head, the lamp decides most of the light and can be swapped later. With COB, the light source is part of the head. That gives the fixture designer control over the optic and the heat path, and gives the buyer one product to specify instead of a body plus a lamp. The trade-off is that you choose the light once: colour temperature, beam and output are fixed by the model you order, so the specification conversation matters more up front.
That's also why we don't sell COB heads as empty housings. Source, driver and optic are designed together, and a COB body without its module isn't a product we'd ship. If you need a lamp-based body, the GU10 and MR16 housings cover it.
Adjustable-focus and dimmable variants
Accent lighting rarely stays put. Merchandise moves, artwork rotates, a display table becomes a wall bay. Adjustable-focus COB heads let the installer widen or tighten the beam on site rather than swapping heads or optics, which is why they're common in commercial accent work.
Dimmable versions are available on selected models. The dimming method and compatible controls are confirmed per model, together with the track the head will run on. If the project needs app or wireless control, tell us early: smart versions exist on selected models, with the platform to confirm with our team.
Where COB heads earn their place
Retail floors and windows
Focused light on product, darker aisles between. COB gives the contrast that pulls a shopper's eye to the table or the mannequin.
Galleries and showrooms
Pieces change between shows. A single-shadow source with an adjustable beam lets the hanging team re-light without new hardware.
Restaurants and hotel public areas
Light on tables, art and feature walls while the room stays low. Dimmable models help a space shift from day to evening.
Homes
A short run of COB heads over a kitchen island, a bookcase or a picture wall, usually alongside lamp-based heads elsewhere.
Choosing beam and placement
Beam choice depends on mounting height, distance to the target and how much contrast you want between the lit object and its surroundings. Narrow beams build drama on a single object; wider beams wash a shelf or a wall bay more evenly. Glare deserves attention with COB, because the emitting area is small and bright. Tell us where people stand and sit relative to the heads, and we'll check which models in the series suit those sight lines.
Fitting to your track
Every COB head ships with an adapter for a specific rail type. Before quoting, we check the head against your track's wire system (2, 3, 4 or 6-wire) and its supply voltage. If you're replacing heads on an existing installation, send a photo of the old adapter and the rail end so we can check it. We confirm dimming compatibility in the same step, model by model, rather than reading it off the wire count.

CE, RoHS or UL marking is per model: check the spec sheet for the exact head rather than assuming a whole series carries it.
